Hanger Farm Arts Centre

The Hanger Farm Arts Centre was constructed by the Totton & Eling Town Council by the conversion of an old derelict 1700’s barn at West Totton. There are very few theatres with such character where the theatre has retained the appeal of the original timbered 18th Century barn.
The Centre is managed by Totton College as a partnership agreement, and as part of the agreement the Centre is open for public use for local groups and organisations.
The college and the council also support the production of professional drama and various workshops.
Whether you like comedy, music or drama the programme has something for everyone.

A musical box of delights

Imagine the somewhat gruesome scene out of The Musical Box from Genesis’s Nursery Cryme album being played in this 400 year old barn … it sends shivers just thinking about it!

Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate the early songs of the influential progressive rock band Genesis, with leading UK tribute band The Book Of Genesis , who faithfully recreate the 1970s era comeplete with period musical instruments, fabulous costumes, an animated slide show, and atmospheric synchronised lighting in a packed 3 hour show.

This is a welcome return by The Book Of Genesis to the Plaza, and follows successful year of touring both in the UK (including Charterhouse School – where Genesis formed) , and in Europe (The Gamla, Oslo, Norway and t’Blok, Nieuwerkerk a/d ljsse l, Rotterdam, The Netherlands).
