CHARTERHOUSE SHOW IS SOLD OUT. A few extra production tickets have just been released.
In 1982, 30 years ago now, Genesis got together for a one-off show to help to rescue the WOMAD festival for Peter Gabriel. That show became legendary. Yes Genesis said afterwards that it wasn't very well rehearsed and it wasn't recorded but the atmosphere was amazing.and the event is still very dear to the hearts of fans. However not everyone got to see it.....
RE-IMAGINING SIX OF THE BEST
We will be reenacting the entire show with all the stories, the costumes, multi-screen slideshows and some other special effects which we will keep secret for now till you see the show but it will be a lot of fun! The book of Genesis specialise in the theatrical presentation of Genesis for those of you who have seen us so this is a perfect way for us to celebrate the music of Genesis for fans.
The Book of Genesis are going to recreate that special event over a series of gigs in 2013 including some very special shows. Last year at Charterhouse we had Ant Phillips, Richard MacPhail and Alan Reif (friend of the band) at our show and Richard and Alan's reminiscences of the days of Charterhouse and early formation of Genesis were truly fascinating. Some past members of Genesis may be appearing at some of our shows this year too! More we cannot say!
So celebrate six of the best with us. Come and see us play this unforgettable show which featured as Peter Gabriel said "The songs we thought fans most wanted to hear from that period of Genesis".
Come to the famous and historic school that Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Chris Stewart, Anthony Phillips and Richard MacPhail attended where Genesis were originally formed from "The Garden Wall" and "The Anon".
A highlight of our six of the best shows will include Charterhouse who have kindly booked us to return in 2013 following the sell-out gig last year (many people asked us if we could return to Charterhouse, so we have obliged). Charterhouse in 2013 will raise money for Great Ormond Street hospital with all the proceeds going to this very worthwhile charity. We will also play our first shows outside Great Britain. We have already been invited to take this show to Granada in Spain to a beautiful theatre. We also plan a number of other great shows across Great Britain. To buy tickets for most gigs, see the gigs page with links to the venues.

MEMORIES FROM CHARTERHOUSE 2012 WITH ANT, RICHARD AND ALAN
Fascinating conversation between Alan Reif (school friend of Genesis) and Richard MacPhail (Singer from the Anon and effectively the 6th member of Genesis from 1967-73 and then later with Peter Gabriel on tour). This discussion was a prelude to our show at Charterhouse. Alan, Richard and Ant were our honoured guests at this show.
